i feel like no one ever thinks about how the father of the child feels. that must be the worst thing if they actually want the child.
Reblogging cause this is how Neil feels, he is quite strongly against abortion.
I know of a fella that stepped up and took over all parental rights when he learned he was going to be a father and the mother-to-be wanted to abort. You rarely hear of that happening, and I admire him.
But let’s just trump the rights of the mother by forcing her to give birth to a child she wanted to abort, all because the father wanted the kid, right?
Why do you admire him? He clearly usurped the woman’s right to body autonomy, just because he wanted a baby. How is that right to not allow a woman to make her own choices of her body?
If he wanted a kid so bad, he could adopt, instead of forcing a woman to give birth to his kid. That’s disgusting.
Women are baby-making incubators, duh.
I do think about how the father feels. You know what I think? Too fucking bad.
Men are allowed to have a say, but in the end, they are not the one carrying the baby. They are not the one giving up 9 months of their lives to create a child. They are not the ones with the out of control hormones. They are not the ones going through body changes. They are not the one who will be dealing with (a possible) postpartum depression.
Do I think that women should make the decision to have an abortion without at least trying to consult the father, no, but they are the ones who will be dealing with all the crap that comes with pregnancy. Not the father.
